Gratefulnesse

Here is a poem, or part of a poem, that I borrowed from a book I am reading. :-) It is called: Gratefulnesse (Don't hate on the Old English just 'cause it is cool, ok?)

Thou that has given so much to me,
Give me one thing more
- a grateful heart...

... I cry, and cry again;
and in no quiet canst Thou be,
Till I a thankful heart obtain of Thee.

Not thankful when it pleases me,
As if Thy blessings had spare days;
But such a heart, whose pulse may be Thy praise.

Thank You, God for these days that "Try our souls" and make us to learn that there is great delight found in resting (believing) in You! :-)
